 We offer a variety of immersion programs that put experience into action for the benefit of our students and clients. All of our programs combine classroom discussions with practical application.
The hands on style of learning involves working with dogs of all ages, breeds and dispositions, as well as handlers from all walks of life.
While studying at the E-cademy you will:
- Practice skills and techniques while training a variety of dogs of varying dispositions.
- Participate in private and group lessons.
- Learn remote collar applications for every aspect of dog behavior including: Dominance aggression, fear issues, shyness and separation anxiety.

The facility at That's My Dog, Inc. encompasses seven acres in the picturesque countryside of Southwest Wisconsin – just minutes from Dubuque, Iowa and Galena, Illinois – providing an environment conducive to learning. Students have access to both indoor and outdoor training areas, full kennel facilities, and an agility and working dog obstacle course. We have a student lounge that offers a reference library of books and periodicals, DVD and video viewing and wireless Internet access. We encourage our students to bring a dog along for the learning experience, or one can be provided for you. Accommodations can be made at various dog friendly locations. Contact us for details.
10 DAY PROGRAM This program will immerse students into our training and business operations. It is designed to go beyond the basics and take participants through more advanced problem solving ability. Students learn how to set up programs of instruction for private lessons, group lessons and board and train programs. In addition to the basic collar work, students are exposed to agility, directional control and explore various ways to deal with aggresson issues. There is also exposure to demonstration techniques and discussion of how to handle commonly asked questions.
The curriculum includes; introducing green dogs to the techniques, teaching both private and group lessons, and honing demonstration skills. We include education on the latest equipment advances, proven marketing strategies, and sales techniques. Significant time is invested learning the communication dynamics involved with teaching dogs and humans alike.

ONE-WEEK FOUNDATION PROGRAM
This program is for the professional or dog enthusiast who is looking to implement remote collar training into their existing program. This is a starter program for those who can not attend the longer course or those who have collar experience and wish to learn more about how to sequence the training and educate the public about these techniques.
The curriculum includes; introducing green dogs to the techniques, how to set up a basic obedience program structured around remote collar utilization, problem solving, and educating the public on this service.
Tuition: $1,500.00

ONE-WEEK ADVANCED PROGRAM
This continuing education program is being offered for those who seek higher skill levels and deeper understanding of techniques utilized in solving behavior issues.
